In this 2-day course, you will learn the basics of working with clay as well as glazing.
Day 1: You will create 4-5 items—such as a bowl, plate, cup, pitcher, or vase—using various hand-building techniques. I will show you how to use textures to make your pieces even more unique.
In the morning, you will make a plate and a cup while preparing your pitcher or vase using the slab technique.
After lunch (please bring your own, or there is a Volg store in our village as an alternative), you will finish the pieces you started in the morning and learn how to create a bowl using a plaster mold.
Day 2 : You will learn how to glaze your works with a brush. Additionally, you’ll get insights into layering glazes to achieve specific color combinations.

In this special collaborative workshop, two ancient crafts come together:
shaping clay and the art of intuitive incense rituals—without sieve or charcoal, mindful, natural, and deeply rooted in the wisdom of plants.
Together with SeinKlang Natur, we invite you on a sensory journey that grounds, clears, and stays with you—far beyond this day.
Part 1 – Your Personal Incense Bowl
(Ceramics · approx. 3 hours)
With your own hands, you will shape a unique incense bowl from clay.
Simple, powerful, timeless — a vessel that can accompany you for many years.
• Introduction to hand-building techniques
• Space for intuition, form, and quiet presence
• Your bowl will be fired and glazed after the workshop
• Ready for collection approx. 2–3 weeks later
This is not about perfection, but about presence.
About feeling. About creating.
Part 2 – Intuitive Incense Rituals (without sieve & charcoal)
(approx. 2.5–3 hours)
In the second part, we immerse ourselves in the original art of incense rituals—
without charcoal, without additives, without artificial fragrances.
You will learn:
• the properties of local herbs and resins
(on both a physical and subtle level)
• which plants support cleansing, grounding, heart opening, or vision
• how to create your own incense blend — intuitively, mindfully, guided by your intention
This method unfolds its smoke gently and steadily, inviting you inward.
It is ideal for personal rituals, as well as for cleansing spaces and energy.
Your handmade blend carries your energy —
a quiet companion for transitions, rituals, or simply moments of coming back to yourself.
🕯 A day that stays with you
You will leave with:
• your handmade incense bowl
• your personal incense blend
• knowledge that continues to support you
• and a sense of grounding, clarity, and connection

Sometimes it doesn’t take much.
A piece of clay. A few hours of your time. And the desire to create something with your own hands.
In this workshop, we will create one vase together – completely free in its form.
Maybe it will be tall and elegant, maybe soft and wide, maybe a little imperfect. That’s exactly what makes it yours.
I will guide you step by step through the process and show you simple handbuilding techniques that allow you to develop your own shape. You’ll quickly notice how the clay begins to guide you – and how something real starts to take form from an idea.
We sit together, work, exchange… and at some point, it’s there: your vase.
A piece that stays.
What to expect:
I will glaze your vase for you in a color of your choice.
It will be ready for pickup approximately 2–3 weeks later at my studio.
If you would prefer to glaze your pieces yourself, you can book a spot in the open studio (additional CHF 40.–).
